Loud music through headphones, even for as little as 10 minutes, can hurt the ears. Just turn the volume down. It often helps to set rules for safe listening, t save your childrens' ears.

Offer ear plugs and other kinds of ear protection to your children, for times they might be exposed to loud noises. Provide the protection, and make sure that they know how to use them.

If your child's speech patterns while young appear different from normal, check with your doctor. Hearing difficulties can lead to difficulty in talking.
